Janna Bilski
VP of Strategic Relationships and Development, Mindful Philanthropy
Janna Bilski is the Vice President of Strategic Relationships and Development at Mindful Philanthropy. Prior to joining Mindful Philanthropy, Janna spent ten years on the Investments team at the Ford Foundation, an international philanthropy focused on advancing social justice. Janna has been focused on mental health and well-being for many years which led her to create the first global Mindfulness Program at the Ford Foundation which she led on a weekly basis. She has also taught mindfulness classes and workshops in New York City as well as globally. Janna is a Co-Founder of Mindful on Wall Street, a grassroots initiative whose mission is to expand the reach of mindfulness and compassion within the financial services industry. Janna sees mental health and well-being as integral root components to systemic social change, and is also a strong advocate of meditation and contemplative practices as one of the tools to help advance a shift in collective well-being.
Janna received her B.A. with Honors from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She completed post-graduate studies at Regent's College School of Psychotherapy and Counseling in London, England. Janna is a graduate of the Training in Mindfulness Facilitation (TMF) Program at the Mindfulness Awareness Research Center in partnership with the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.
